Made of the old growth Burmese teak. We can produce different sizes to meet the needs of our customer. It can be either coated (e.g. UV) or un-coated.
Grading Standard:
Grade A: With no open defects such as rot, insect hole, pith wood, crack, wanting arris, inbark, dead knot, sap wood, serious mineral line, serious black streak and apparent color shading. Acceptable for only a little scattered sound knots <5 mm.
Grade B: With no open defects such as rot, insect hole, pith wood, crack, wanting arris, inbark, dead knot, sap wood, serious mineral line and serious black streak. Acceptable for natural color shading. If the length <600 mm, acceptable for no more than two scattered sound knots <20mm. If the length >600 mm, acceptable for an increase of no more than one sound knot <20mm for each increment of mm 300.
Grade C: With no open defects such as rot, pith wood, crack and wanting arris. Acceptable for apparent color shadings, no more than two insect holes <5 mm and scattered dead knots <20mm. For a given product, the fraction of sap wood should <30% of the total area. |
